REMEMBER: The April meeting will be held on the 24th, the 4th Thursday.
We have an UPCOMING WORKSHOP featuring our very own, published member Frances Sciarratta who will be offering her bead embellished brooch as seen in Bead Design Style magazine. Download the registration form for "Frances Sciarratta's Plum Beauty" Workshop and return it as soon as possible to assure we have enough participants to run the workshop and save your place!
The Bead Society has been invited to display free of charge at the NY/NJ Mineral,Gem and Jewelry Show at the Raritan Center the weekend of April 11th. We would have a display of jewelry and information table. No selling is allowed but promoting, demonstrating, and networking can certainly take place.
If you are interested in displaying at the table for a few hours, please contact Mychelle by March 14th!!
The Bead Society is having a members Jewelry Sale at the Rumson Library for the Month of April. Please bring your jewelry to the March meeting with a full inventory / price list. Each piece should be tagged with a price and your initials on a small jewelry tag. You can also just bring them to the meeting where some tags will be available.
Twenty percent of the sales is donated to the Rumson Library.
Please consider volunteering for next years BSNJ leadership positions. We are at the end of the term this year and positions must be filled. We will be seeking nominations for officers, board members, AND volunteers to contact members to inform them of the nominations. Our current Board has generously given time and effort to provide two years of wonderful activities and programs. If you enjoyed coming and benefitted from their work, its time to give back. Its not that hard. They all have families, careers, and responsibilities and still managed success. You can too. Give it some thought. Let's keep our legacy going!!!
We are excited to announce that one of our very own members is now an inventor and TV star!! SANDRA LUPO has designed a new tool being manufactured by Beadalon.
She will be offering a special workshop and sale of the Conetastic tool for the Bead Society in the near future. More information to come.
